RESCUE 9

2011 Chevy Tahoe

RUEMS’ primary response vehicle is a 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe that was purchased through a grant from the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Rescue Squad Assistance Fund. This replaces the old Expedition which ended its service after withstanding remarkable 13 years on the job as the first and only primary quick response vehicle for our organization.

.

Rescue 9 carries a variety of Basic Life Support equipment including patient evaluation equipment, (including pulse oximetry, glucometer, and blood pressure cuff) airway management equipment, splinting equipment (board splints and traction device), spinal immobilization equipment (including a foldable backboard and KED), BLS medications (including aspirin, albuterol, and nitroglycerin), flares, suction equipment, an AED, ANSI-compliant vests, flashlights, additional oxygen equipment, blankets, mass casualty/command equipment, and a secured charging mount for our Toughbook.
